Career Discovery Program
TheĀ program starts with a wide range of professionals describing their fields- what they actually do all day, what they like and dislike about it, how they got to where they are today, what they learned along the way, and what they wish they had known when they were 19. Through these sessions students learn about 20+ potential career paths in enough detail to form informed opinions about what they would be good at, and find intrinsically interesting. In addition to industry-specific learning, we curate materials about broader topics like how to choose a career, what it takes to succeed, how to think about work/life balance, and very specific and tactical advice from experts on how to find an internship or get a job in the rapidly changing world of early-career hiring.
The Introships programs, through the power of the network, enable students to learn about a wide range of careers, decide which ones are best for them, and act on that knowledge, armed with the knowledge of recruiting experts and contacts from the network of presenters.
The presenters give career advice as well as describing what it's like to do what they do
